One of the benefits of the Hottop roasters is the filtering system. The top filter ensures clean air is drawn into the roasting chamber, and the rear filter removes smoke particles from the atmosphere. This ensures a much lower smoke output than from non-filtered roasting systems.
The rear filter collects all the smoke particles and eventually clogs up, requiring replacement. Hottop recommend changing the rear filter every 30-40 roasts, and while it’s tempting to use the filter for longer than this, doing so results in restricted air flow throughout the roasting system and less comparable results with earlier roasts.
We recommend changing the rear filter within this recommended roast range to ensure optimum performance from your roaster.
