Good things do come in small packages

Posted by Unknown on 21st Dec 2015

The machine presents as an impressive package and is sized perfectly for our bench. All valves and switches give the impression of quality. Our first pour using an existing Compak K3 touch was spot on and we have enjoyed consistent pours since receiving the VBM.
Our routine is to wake up and turn the machine on, placing the portafilter in place. By the time we have showered and dressed, we have access to coffee better than any available within easy range of our house.
We do not place cups on the warming tray - it is small, and it is not hard to pre-warm cups using the hot water dispenser. I think I would become frustrated with moving the warmer tray to fill up the tank if it had cups on it.

Our dealings with Di Bartoli were excellent - the only negative was the poor service of the couriers, but this was sorted from our end.

Top quality with a small footprint

Posted by Terry on 29th Jul 2014

We've happily used this machine for about 2 years in a holiday house. It's the little brother to the Domobar Super Lever we use at home. The Junior produces excellent results, and the only noticeable difference with its big brother is that its smaller water reservoir needs to be topped up every couple of days (for producing about 6-8 shots a day), rather than once or twice a week for the Super. The saving in bench space is appreciable. Access to lever, steam and hot water taps remains good - not too cramped. Just enough space for warming a couple of cups and saucers on top.
