Single Origin - Indian Monsoon Malabar

Write a Review

Indian Monsoon Malabar AA is grown and processed at the best plantations in India. The Malabar coast provides ideal conditions for the monsoon winds to season the beans stored in open warehouses for up to 3 months. As a roasted bean, Monsoon Malabar has a funky, musty, earthy aroma.

As an espresso it has very low acidity, which produces extremely thick, rich and full cup. The flavor is sweet and intense providing one of the longest finish of any bean.

PLEASE NOTE: This coffee needs about 14+ days rest from roast date

If you like your beans to be ground, please let us know in the order comments at checkout what coffee maker you have. If it's an espresso machine, please state the make and model.

    Nice and strong

Once started on this bold coffee, you cannot swap it with any other blend. Mot only you can taste its bold, golden and caramel, you can also see it by its beautiful gold and creamy creama.

Great crema and taste with milk - very smooth. I've been buying this for years and it's consistently a great bean

As Close to Naples as You Will Find in Australia

This earthy dark roast with notes of apple is for those who love the coffee of Italy, with or without sugar and a full bodied flavour. This is a remarkably good roast, not at all sour. It is a pleasure at any time of the day and for caffeine lovers, it packs a wallop in a single shot.

    Great coffee and great service!

This coffee is one of the very best we have tasted during our home coffee machine era of over 12 years. It is distinctive, full of flavour with an amazing crema.
A comment about the Di Bartoli service too. We’d been away and had run out of coffee so I ordered some more on-line on Wednesday for Express Post. It arrived Friday morning (!!!) just in time to go straight into the machine for our usual coffee break! Thanks, amazing service!

I have tried various single origin coffees and I still come back to this source. If you love good strong coffee you will love this one.

    Coffee of Choice

This has been our favourite for a few years now. We occasionally try something else but always come back to Monsoon Malabar.

For about 10 years, and still today, our favourite

Smooth with no bitterness, as noted here. A friend says it's the only coffee his 10-year old can get excellent crema from. We mix in about 10% of a stronger, more 'biting' bean to the grind, and it's perfect for us, as we like a very strong flavour.
