This impressive grinder ticks a lot of boxes for the home barista. It is elegant, simple yet sophisticated at the same time. Like the Profitec T64 it also has 64mm burrs, micrometric adjustment and digital programming. Its also quiet, with very little mess and quite fast (at 7 seconds for double shot)  also feature:

  • Simple programming of the timer for 1 or 2 portions via display

  • Manual grinding function

  • Grinding time is about 7 seconds for a double espresso (18g)

  • Stepless adjustment of the grind

  • Quantity counter of the ground portions

  • Capacity bean hopper ca. 550 g

  • Stainless steel burrs, ø 64 mm

  • Vented body for better heat release of the motor

  • 415 h x 150 w x 245 d (mm)

    Stylish and fast

I bought this to use with a new ECM Technika IV. Nice clean, stylish design that matches the espresso machine well. Lovely, even grind with little clumping and very fine stepless control with the worm adjustment. It's relatively quiet and very fast, grinding a double shot in about 7 secs. A couple of negatives. I find the two support bars that the portafilter handle rests on are a little high so the mound of ground coffee can end up touching the bottom of the spout, causing spillage on the bench. I've taken to holding the portafilter under the bars and doing two single runs in a row with a little settling to distribute the grounds in the basket in between. The activating button is quite touchy, needing a single push for one shot, double push for a double quantity and holding it down for continuous on demand. Trying to do this with the end of a heavy portafilter isn't always reliable, especially the double push, which has led to some wastage.
